Character and temper
As kittens they are a bit wild, but also kind of clumsy when they try more than they can handle, so they often end up on their head! They are playful even as
adults. As they grow and get more muture their intelligens starts to show, and they can start to comunicate with their
owners in a comfortable tone. The burmese is
doglike, love their owners, and some have even
learnt to fetch! They love to lay in ones lap and cuddle. As they are
so trustworthy they should be kept indoors. Or else they will be easy to snatch for people who
arenīt so kind to cats. they work well with children and dogs.
Health
The burmese have good healt and often can become over twenty years old. There is no
special healthissues connected to the breed. Itīs important that the cat arenīt
left alone forlong periods during the day, so another cat or other pet
is recomended. Take your cat to routin checkups at the vets!

Description of the burmese
General
The Ragdoll is a firm, large cat with medium boned muscular body.
Solid in the overall appearance.
Head Medium size, broad modified wedge with the appearance of a flat plane between the ears.
The nose should show a slight curve in the upper third. Cheecks well developed, tapering to a
rounded, well developed, medium long muzzle and a well developed chin.
Ears Medium in size, broad at the base, with rounded tips.
Set wide on the skull with a slight tilt forward.
Eyes Large and oval.
Outer aperture of the eye aperture to be level with the base of the ears.
Blue, the more intensive the better, in relation to the body colour.
Body Neck to be short and strong. Long body, medium bone structure, muscular.
Chest broad and well developed.Muscular and heavier in the hind quarters.
The mature cat is a broad at shoulders at it is at the hind quarters.
Legs medium in length and of medium bone. Hind legs to be slightly higher than the front,
giving the line a slightly forward tilt in appearance. Paws large, round and compact,
tufted between the toes.
Tail Long, medium broad at the base, slightly tapered toward it the tip and in
proportion to the body. Well furnished, bushy.
Coat Medium long, dense, soft and silky texture; lying with the body and
breaking as the cat is moves.Longest around the neck and framing the
outer edge of the face giving the appearance of a bib.
Short on the face increasing in length from the top of the head to the
shoulders down the back. Medium to long on the sides, abdomen and
hind quarters. Short to medium long on the frontlegs.

Is the burmese a cat for you?
The burmese is best suited for a person that wants an activ and cuddly cat.
it will work well togheter with children and other pets, but shouldnīt be left alone for a long period of time. |
